The public hearing is being held in connection with the following matter: The Agency, as Project Sponsor, proposes to expand its existing White Pine Commerce Park (“Park”), formerly known as the Clay Business Park, to approximately 1,250± acres (the “Project”). The Park is located northeast of the intersection of NYS Route 31 and Caughdenoy Road in the Town of Clay, Onondaga County, New York. The Agency currently owns approximately 648± acres, has another approximately 282± acres under contract, and would acquire approximately 320± additional acres through purchase agreements with existing landowners or, if necessary, pursuant to the Eminent Domain Procedure Law to avoid fragmented parcels that would hinder future development. A Draft Supplemental Generic Environmental Impact Statement (“Draft Supplemental GEIS”) has been completed and accepted for the proposed Project. The Agency will, at the above-stated time and place, hear all comments with respect to the Draft Supplemental GEIS. A copy of the Draft Supplemental GEIS is available on OCIDA’s website at: https://www.ongoved.com/ocida/project-documents/. The Draft Supplemental GEIS may also be viewed at OCIDA’s office above, or the Town of Clay Town Hall, 4401 Route 31, Clay, NY 13041. This public hearing will be held by remote means, by Zoom meeting and telephone conference call, in accordance with the modifications to Article 7 of the Public Officers Law (the “Open Meetings Law”) as modified by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.1, as extended in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
