North Syracuse Central School District lists four community forums in November and December as it refines capital-project plans before a December 17 vote. The sessions give district residents a chance to ask about work ranging from classroom and mechanical-system upgrades to a CTE/STEM hub, roofs and school grounds.[1][2]

• Thursday, November 12, at 5 p.m. — Jerome F. Melvin Administrative Office Building, 5355 West Taft Road, North Syracuse.
• Thursday, November 19, at 7 p.m. — Gillette Road Middle School, 6150 South Bay Road, Cicero.
• Thursday, December 3, at 7 a.m. — Smith Road Elementary School, 5959 Smith Road, North Syracuse. The district lists this as a morning session.
• Thursday, December 10, at 6 p.m. — CNS High School, 6002 Route 31, Cicero.[1]

What the scope includes
At Cicero-North Syracuse High School, the district lists a CTE/STEM hub and media-center addition and renovations, work in the technology area, a new student drop-off, stadium turf and lighting replacement, track resurfacing and replacement of the stadium-building roof.[2]
For North Syracuse Junior High School, the scope includes selected HVAC work, corridor improvements and paving reconstruction. At Roxboro Road Middle School, it lists electrification of building systems, roof replacement, selected classroom renovations and site work. Roxboro Road Elementary has similar listed work, plus installation of a geothermal well field.[2]
The elementary-school items vary by building. Allen Road’s list includes classroom renovations, playground changes and air conditioning in selected spaces. Cicero Elementary has classroom and site work. KWS Bear Road and Smith Road have crawl-space ventilation work, with an air-handler replacement also listed at Smith Road. Lakeshore’s list includes a boiler replacement, air-handler replacement and air-conditioning improvements.[2]
Other listed work includes exterior doors and site improvements at Gillette Road Middle School, a roof replacement at the JFM administration building, and improvements to the transportation office building’s windows, roof, doors and paving. The transportation scope also lists removal of a fuel island and bus shelter.[2]
