Clay Covered Bridge Located Behind Clay Town Hall In 2011, Joshua Lauri, son of Town Justice Brian Lauri, constructed the original bridge deck as an Eagle Scout project.
In 2021, Rob Bick, employee for the Town of Clay, submitted a design to cover the bridge to Supervisor Damian Ulatowski and the Town Board.
His motivation behind the project was to honor the memory of his late wife Ann Marie, who passed away of cancer in December of 2018 at the age of 55 and who had a love of covered bridges. The board approved the project, and Rob in conjunction John Murphy and Jason Buckingham of the highway department proceeded to construct the bridge over a period of a year or so as time and weather permitted.
