LOCAL LAW NO. 1 OF THE YEAR 2013 TO AMEND CHAPTER 205 entitled
T A X A T I O N / ' Article 9- TO OVERRIDE THE TAX LEVY L I M I T to the Code
of the Town of Clay.
IT IS ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Clay, County of Onondaga as
follows:
SECTION 1. Amending CHAPTER 205 entitled ^TAXATION/' by amending

the Code of the Town of Clay in order to override the limit of the amount of real
property taxes that may be levied by the Town of Clay, pursuant to General
Municipal Law §3-c and to allow the Town of Clay to adopt a budget for the fiscal
year beginning January 1, 2014.
On October 7, 2013, the Town Board called a public hearing for proposed Local Law No. 1 of the Year 2013
for October 21, 2013 commencing at 7:35 p.m.
Notice of public hearing published in the Post Standard on October 10, 2013.
Public hearing held and completed October 21, 2013.
Local Law No. 1 of the Year 2013 was approved at the November 6, 2013 Town Board Meeting.

§ 205-46                         TAXATION                                    § 205-51
§205-46 Title.
This local law is to be known as a L O C A L LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 205,
'TAXATION ', by adding a new A R T I C L E IX. entitled L O C A L LAW TO
OVERRIDE T H E TAX L E V Y LIMIT ESTABLISHED IN GENERAL
MUNICIPAL LAW §3-c.
§ 205-47 Legislative Intent.
It is the intent of this local law to override the limit on the amount of real property
taxes that may be levied by the Town of Clay pursuant to General Municipal Law §3-
c, and to allow the Town of Clay to adopt a budget for the fiscal year beginning
January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013 that requires a real property tax levy
in excess of the "tax levy limit" as defined by General Municipal Law.
§ 205-49 Tax Levy Limit Override.
The Town Board of the Town of Clay, located in the County of Onondaga is hereby
authorized to adopt a budget for the fiscal year 2013 that requires a real property tax
levy in excess of the amount otherwise prescribed in General Municipal Law §3-c.
