LOCAL LAW NO. 3 OF THE YEAR 2011 TO AIVIEND CHAPTER 230 entitled
ZONING^ Section 230-22 C- (3)(f)I2] Short-duration temporary signs; and Section
230-22 B. Definitions of the Code of the Town of Clay
IT LS ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Clay, County of Onondaga as
follows:
SECTION 1. Amend Chapter 230 entitled ^^ZONING", Sections 230-22 C. (3)(f)[2] by
adding a new category [e] Now Hiring Signs add to 230-22 B. Definitions in order to
define Now Hiring Signs that is added to the Short- duration temporary signs paragraph in
the code of the Town of Clay.
September 10th. 2011 called public hearing fbr proposed local law for October 17th. 2011 at 7:38 P.M.,
Notice of public hearing published in the Post Standard on October 6th. 2011.
Public hearing held and completed on November 21st, 2011.
Local Law was approved at the December 2011 Town Board Meeting.
Local Law sent to Dept. of State on December 13th, 2011.

§ 230-22 B. CLAY CODE § 230-22 C. (3)(f)[2]
The purpose of this law is to add a new category [e] and definition to the Short- duration
temporary signs in order to include Now Hiring Signs to the code of the Tov^^n of Clay.
§ 230-22 B. Definitions.
NOW HIRING SIGN - a sign soliciting employees for the place of business where posted
and that does not contain any information other than that relating to the solicitation of
employees.
§ 230-22 C. Sign Standards and Requirements.
3. Temporary sign standards.
(f) Types of temporary signs.
[2] Short duration temporary signs.
[e] Now Hiring Sign - These signs may be installed for a maximum of sixty
(60) days. No sign shall exceed 32 square feet.
SECTION 2. This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Office of
the Secretary of State.
