A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 230 ENTITLED "ZONING" OF THE TOWN
OF CLA Y MUNICIPAL CODE.
IT IS ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Clay,
Onondaga County, New York, as follows:
SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 230
That Chapter 230 entitled "ZONING" of the Code of the Town of Clay is
amended as follows:
"Local Law No. 7 of the Year 2007, amending Chapter 230, 'ZONING^ of
the Code of the Town of Clay, provides for an extension of the Moratorium, until
April 15th, 2008, with regard to all applications for onlv "signage", Section 230.25,
Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA), Paragraph (B) Powers and duties, Subsection
(2) Variances."
The purpose of said local law provides for the extension of the moratorium, until April
15th, 2008, on all applications for only signage variances to the Zoning Board of
Appeals, until the Town Board receives and implements formal recommendations for
any changes from the Town of Clay Zoning Ordinance Review Committee. This
extended moratorium may be further extended or terminated at any earlier period by
the Town Board. Said local law reads as follows:
LOCAL LAW
"Local Law No, 7 of the Year 2007, amending Chapter 230, 'ZONING', of the
Code of the Town of Clay, provides for an extension of the moratorium, until April
15th, 2008, with regard to processing or granting of approval of ail applications for
onlv "signage". Section 230.25, Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA), Paragraph
(B) Powers and duties, Subsection (2) Variances."
SECTION 7, PURPOSE The purpose of said local law provides for an extension of the moratorium, until April 15th, 2008, on processing or granting of approval of all applications for only signage variances to the Zoning Board of Appeals, until the Town Board receives and implements formal recommendations for any changes from the Town of Clay Zoning Ordinance Review Committee.
SECTION 2. TIME PERIOD AND PROHIBITION
A. As of the effective date of this local law there will be an extension of the
moratorium, on the processing or granting of approval for only signage
variances to the Zoning Board of Appeals until April 15th, 2008 within the
Town of Clay.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary
of State.
SECTION 4. TERMINA TION DA TE This local law shall become null and void April 15th, 2008. The proposed moratorium may be extended, or terminated at any earlier period, by the Town Board of the Town of Clay.
